This first edition print by George Aden Ahgupuk, entitled "Eskimo Life" is available for purchase for $150.00. The print measures approximately 36" x 18", unframed. "Eskimo Life" was the only print ever authorized by George Aden Ahgupuk. It was copyrighted in 1993, and had a one-time limited run of 2560 prints.
The original artwork from which this print was made was drawn in ink on reindeer hide framed by seal skin weaving, which was meticulously hand-cut and threaded by George Aden Ahgupuk.
The panoramic scene depicts various scenes of Eskimo life, including a reindeer round-up, Eskimo blanket toss, whale hunting, ice fishing, seal hunting, and walrus hunting. Featured throughout the print are many reindeer, moose, polar bears, seals, sea gulls, whales, and sled dogs.
Your print will be shipped to you from Anchorage in a postal mailing tube via USPS Priority mail. Insurance is recommended, and the fee will be quoted upon request.
